Responsibilities
- Lead the Billing team technically, guide engineers and a QA engineer, and establish technology direction through design reviews.
- Own third-party billing and marketplace integrations from design through deployment, support, and ongoing maintenance.
- Review code, translate product and engineering requirements into technical direction, and uphold engineering standards.
- Act as the billing architecture subject matter expert while supporting triage, incident response, and out-of-hours on-call.
- Mentor team members, represent the team cross-functionally, and contribute to ML capability development for Maia.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Java with grounding in object-oriented design, distributed systems, testability, observability, scalability, and security.
- Working knowledge of React for full-stack development.
- Experience across the full software development lifecycle, including CI/CD tooling and agile methodologies such as Kanban or Scrum.
- Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform: AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Experience integrating multiple third-party or marketplace platforms; billing or usage-based experience is advantageous.
- Ability to lead initiatives, mentor others, solve problems independently, investigate root causes, and remain composed during incidents.
