Responsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, and deliver complex secure full-stack software solutions.
- Lead technical design and delivery using Java, Spring Boot, and React/Angular.
- Build event-driven architectures with Kafka, including retries, idempotency, ordering, error handling, dead-letter queues, and schema versioning.
- Develop and review high-quality production code and establish automated testing, CI/CD quality gates, and observability practices.
- Own production excellence through incident reduction, root-cause prevention, performance tuning, and operational readiness.
- Drive responsible adoption and validation of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering tools.
- Mentor engineers and influence technical direction across squads and partner teams.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 5 years of applied experience.
- Experience leading the effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools for coding, code review, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input/output handling, resiliency, and security expectations in engineering workflows.
- Deep expertise in Java 8+, Spring Boot, microservices, and React or Angular.
- Strong experience with Kafka and event-driven architecture.
- Experience with SQL databases, data modeling, query optimization, and performance tuning.
- Strong NoSQL experience with Cassandra, DynamoDB, or Elasticsearch.
- Experience with Cloud Foundry or AWS and CI/CD strategy and execution.
- Leadership experience in design reviews, mentoring, and cross-team technical alignment.
- Experience using Dynatrace, Splunk, or Grafana for observability and monitoring.
- Experience building resilient, highly available applications with failure-mode analysis, recovery planning, and operational readiness.
- Working knowledge of secure engineering practices, authentication and authorization, secure APIs, data protection, dependency hygiene, Cyber Security, and Technology Control requirements.
- PCI experience and an AWS certification are preferred.
