Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and improve AI-enabled applications, proofs of concept, prototypes, and reusable technical components.
- Own defined features or technical workstreams from requirements and design through implementation, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement.
- Build AI-enabled web applications, APIs, application services, data integrations, intelligent assistants, retrieval-augmented generation solutions, and workflow automations.
- Integrate generative AI models and services through APIs, cloud services, and approved open-source frameworks.
- Translate business and technical requirements into solution components, development tasks, acceptance criteria, and testable outcomes.
- Evaluate technical approaches, frameworks, models, and tools while balancing security, reliability, usability, scalability, and maintainability.
- Review code and technical deliverables, troubleshoot application, integration, data, performance, model-integration, and deployment issues, and communicate risks and blockers.
- Guide Staff professionals and collaborate with developers, data engineers, AI and machine learning specialists, designers, engagement teams, and client stakeholders.
- Create and maintain solution designs, data flows, integration details, configuration guidance, test evidence, deployment instructions, and other technical documentation.
- Stay current with generative AI, application development, cloud services, data engineering, and responsible AI practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3–5+ years of related professional experience.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Secret clearance or higher.
- Hands-on experience developing software, data, AI, analytics, or automation solutions.
- Development experience with Python and a modern backend framework such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
- Experience with JavaScript or TypeScript and a modern frontend framework such as React, Next.js, Vue, Angular, or Svelte.
- Experience integrating generative AI models or services into applications through APIs, cloud services, or approved open-source frameworks.
- Experience developing APIs, application services, data integrations, or secure connections to enterprise data sources.
- Experience developing or deploying applications in a cloud environment such as Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services.
- Working knowledge of SQL, relational or nonrelational databases, data ingestion, data transformation, and data-quality concepts.
- Experience with software development lifecycle practices, source control, testing, code review, technical documentation, and deployment processes.
- Experience independently owning features, components, or defined technical workstreams.
- Strong communication, facilitation, presentation, prioritization, issue tracking, and technical guidance skills.
- Preferred experience includes retrieval-augmented generation, vector databases, enterprise search, embeddings, intelligent assistants, agent-based applications, cloud-native services, containers, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, application monitoring, Azure AI services, Azure OpenAI Service, Amazon Bedrock, open-source language models, model evaluation, inference optimization, model fine-tuning, responsible AI, and government-client delivery.
- Relevant technical, cloud, AI, agile delivery, or software-development certifications are preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal English skills and the ability to work effectively with nationally distributed teams.
