Responsibilities

  • Provide pre- and post-sales technical support to FAE teams, including driver porting and customized software development.
  • Debug embedded Linux and RTOS drivers with the research and development team and support customer middleware integration for TSN solutions.
  • Deliver product demonstrations and technical workshops to automotive OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers.
  • Design, develop, maintain, and optimize IEEE 802.1AS-2020/gPTP protocol stack functionality for automotive Ethernet switches.
  • Implement timing synchronization, path-delay measurement, neighbor-rate-ratio computation, diagnostics, and monitoring with sub-microsecond precision.
  • Develop customer proof-of-concept demonstrations, prototypes, reference implementations, configurations, and network topologies for automotive use cases.
  • Create and execute POC test plans covering latency, jitter, and synchronization accuracy, and provide troubleshooting and implementation recommendations.
  • Maintain requirements-to-test traceability and participate in ASPICE assessments and process improvement.
  • Develop embedded C code compliant with MISRA C:2012, conduct code reviews and static analysis, and document justified deviations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of embedded software development experience in the automotive industry.
  • Hands-on experience implementing IEEE 802.1AS/gPTP or IEEE 1588/PTP protocols.
  • Experience with ASPICE-compliant software development processes at Level 2 or higher.
  • Strong proficiency in MISRA C:2012-compliant embedded C programming.
  • Deep understanding of ARM Cortex-R or Cortex-M architectures and GCC, IAR, or Keil toolchains.
  • Experience with FreeRTOS, AUTOSAR OS, or SafeRTOS on ARM platforms.
  • Knowledge of TSN protocols including 802.1Qav, 802.1CB, 802.1Qat, 802.1Qbu, and 802.3br.
  • Knowledge of Ethernet Layer 2 protocols, switch architectures, and AVTP/IEEE 1722.
  • Experience with static analysis tools and achieving high MISRA compliance.
  • Experience with Jenkins or GitLab CI pipelines and Git workflows.
