Base Salary
$115k - $184k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain reusable Java automation frameworks, libraries, utilities, data generators, and service virtualization capabilities.
- Build automated validation for API, UI, integration, end-to-end, functional, performance, load, stress, scalability, and resiliency workflows.
- Verify REST API behavior, service interactions, data integrity, business rules, error handling, and distributed-system behavior.
- Integrate automated engineering controls and quality gates into CI/CD pipelines to support release decisions.
- Establish performance and reliability baselines for throughput, latency, resource utilization, and service reliability.
- Diagnose bottlenecks, troubleshoot complex issues, provide root-cause evidence, and develop mechanisms to prevent recurring failures.
- Contribute to architecture, design, secure coding, code reviews, technical risk assessment, and engineering standards.
- Lead automation and delivery-process improvements, mentor engineers, and promote shared ownership of product integrity.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in software engineering, application development, engineering automation, or a related technical field.
- Strong proficiency in Java, object-oriented programming, software design principles, data structures, algorithms, and application design patterns.
- Experience developing applications, frameworks, or engineering tools with Spring and Spring Boot.
- Experience building automated validation across web, API, integration, and end-to-end workflows using Selenium, Cypress, or equivalent frameworks.
- Experience with REST APIs, microservices architectures, API contracts, data validation, and automated controls in CI/CD workflows.
- Experience with unit, functional, integration, end-to-end, and performance validation techniques.
- Knowledge of secure coding, application security principles, code review techniques, troubleshooting, debugging, and technical problem-solving.
- Preferred experience with REST Assured, Selenium, Cypress, Cucumber, Insomnia, SQL Developer, JMeter, or BlazeMeter.
- Preferred experience with high-volume mission-critical platforms, containerized or cloud-based environments, observability, service virtualization, synthetic data generation, and environment management.
- Preferred exposure to data pipelines, ETL processes, event-driven architectures, streaming platforms, Kafka, Spark, NiFi, Ozone, or Ceph.
- Preferred domain experience in billing, financial services, payments, pricing, or card-processing systems.
