Responsibilities
- Write code to build and maintain infrastructure supporting millions of transactions during global peak shopping periods.
- Design and optimize high-performance systems for critical workloads.
- Develop monitoring and observability solutions for system reliability and performance.
- Build scalable data infrastructure for Shopify’s commerce experiences.
- Participate in on-call work when required.
Requirements
- Strong infrastructure engineering expertise and proven coding experience building scalable systems.
- Proficiency with Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform.
- Experience with monitoring and observability platforms, particularly Prometheus and related tooling.
- Hands-on experience with Kafka, MySQL, Redis, and GCP.
- Ability to complete a live pair-programming interview using a personal IDE.
