Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, maintain, and troubleshoot Java and Python applications and backend services.
- Translate business and technical requirements into scalable software solutions and backend integrations.
- Design and maintain RESTful APIs and participate in architecture and technical design discussions.
- Conduct code reviews, write unit and integration tests, and promote engineering best practices.
- Improve application performance, security, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
- Perform debugging and root-cause analysis for complex technical issues.
- Collaborate with product, QA, DevOps, and engineering teams.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and contribute to technical documentation and process improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 6 years of relevant software development experience for the Engineer III level.
- Strong hands-on experience with Python, Django, and Django REST Framework.
- Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot.
- Experience designing RESTful APIs and backend services.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle.
- Experience with Django ORM, JPA, Hibernate, unit testing, integration testing, debugging, Git, and static code analysis.
- Knowledge of authentication, authorization, application security, object-oriented programming, design patterns, SOLID principles, and clean coding practices.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with microservices, distributed systems, Celery, Redis, Spring Security, Spring Cloud, Docker, Kubernetes, cloud platforms, Kafka, RabbitMQ, monitoring, observability, OpenAPI, GraphQL, web technologies, UI automation, and regulated environments.
- Preferred experience includes mentoring engineers or leading technical initiatives.
