Responsibilities
- Develop and test mission operations modeling and simulation applications.
- Integrate mission simulation tools into an automated system-level trade study execution architecture.
- Define requirements, specify designs, and implement space mission operations analysis simulations and trade studies.
- Support multidisciplinary teams informing U.S. Space Force acquisition decisions.
- Plan work scope, schedule activities, track progress, and execute team tasks.
- Prepare and deliver presentations and technical demonstrations.
- Manage files and directories, network file sharing, software and license installation, and command-line shell activities.
- Participate in simulation software integration, engineering peer reviews, and systems engineering trade studies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in aerospace, astronautics, mathematics, or physics.
- Nine years of experience.
- Experience with at least one of MATLAB, Python, Java, C#, or C++.
- Experience with live, virtual, and/or constructive simulation techniques and technologies.
- Simulation development experience with environments such as STK, AFSIM, GMAT, or FreeFlyer.
- Experience with MATLAB, Simulink, or other simulation scripting languages.
- Knowledge of satellite orbital mechanics and maneuvers, remote sensing, spacecraft launch and command/control, and/or satellite communications; equivalent airborne systems experience is applicable.
- Experience as a team leader with planning, scheduling, progress tracking, and execution.
- An in-scope TS or SSBI security investigation, SCI eligibility, and enrollment in Continuous Evaluation when applicable.
- Willingness to be nominated for Sensitive Compartmented Information and Special Access Program access and to consent to a polygraph examination.
- Preferred qualifications include simulation software development, testing, and integration; aerospace or space and defense industry experience; systems engineering and trade studies; peer review participation; advanced engineering education; and relevant professional certification.
- Experience with Atlassian Jira, Cameo Enterprise Architect, Sparx Systems EA, or Ansys ModelCenter is beneficial or helpful.
