Responsibilities

  • Lead software requirements and design reviews.
  • Create software verification plans, test protocols, and software risk analyses for commercial products.
  • Validate software and tools, including configuration, functionality, and user interface behavior.
  • Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated software test scripts.
  • Execute software verification plans, test protocols, and regression validation.
  • Record and track issues in defect tracking systems and analyze failures with development teams to identify root causes.
  • Write detailed test reports and communicate test progress to management.
  • Maintain test plans, traceability documentation, and validation evidence.
  • Follow software development, cybersecurity, and medical software validation procedures.
  • Collaborate with other engineers as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline with 13+ years of related experience, or a master’s degree with 8+ years of equivalent industry experience, or a PhD with 5+ years of experience.
  • Working knowledge of iOS and Android mobile operating systems and applications.
  • Solid experience developing automated test scripts with Java and Python.
  • Experience troubleshooting mobile applications, using test tools, and collecting device evidence and bug reports.
  • Experience with Linux and Mac terminal commands and ADB.
  • Experience with Android Studio, Xcode, Appium, Appium GUI Server, and Appium Inspector.
  • Experience with Git, Git commands, JFrog Artifactory, and repository maintenance.
  • Experience with defect life cycle processes and defect tracking tools such as Jira.
  • Experience with manual testing and system, regression, black-box, performance or stress, and white-box testing methodologies.
