Responsibilities
- Implement technical solutions according to agreed technical designs.
- Analyze functional requirements and prepare development schedules, tasks, and estimates.
- Design, document, and implement ABAP functionality, reports, enhancements, interfaces, and HANA objects.
- Develop OData services, CDS views, CI functions, AMDP, and SQL scripts.
- Support application development, unit testing, technical specifications, code reviews, and SAP transport management.
- Create test plans and automated scripts and analyze root causes of production and development issues.
- Develop inbound and outbound interfaces between cloud, on-premise, and SAP product environments.
- Define and implement interfaces to upstream and downstream systems using SAP CPI adapters.
- Provide solution architecture planning and design support in multiple-system environments.
- Monitor project status, risks, and issues; prepare stakeholder reports and mitigation plans.
- Lead or participate in technical interchange meetings, requirements discussions, estimates, and solution planning with clients.
- Ensure development best practices, processes, and technical specifications are documented.
Requirements
- 6+ years of SAP experience as an SAP ABAP consultant and 2+ years of SAP S/4HANA experience.
- At least two SAP end-to-end implementation experiences and at least one S/4HANA implementation or conversion experience.
- Proficiency with traditional ABAP WRICEFs, SAP Web IDE, Eclipse IDE, and ADT.
- Experience integrating SAP S/4HANA with SAP middleware using IDocs, remote function modules, web services, or ABAP proxies.
- Experience with Native SQL, CDS, AMDP, ALV on HANA, Adobe Forms, RF screen programming, CDS views, CE functions, and SQL scripts.
- Experience with SQL Trace, SAP runtime analysis, ABAP debugging, ABAP Query, and InfoSets.
- Knowledge of ABAP object-oriented programming and data conversions such as JSON to XML and CSV to XML.
- Desirable experience with EDI integrations and API management.
- Ability to discuss, challenge, and clarify customer requirements and develop high-level designs and effort estimates.
- Ability to advise engagement owners on risks and lead status or technical meetings for small to medium engagements.
- Knowledge of implementation life cycles including blueprinting, configuration, testing, cutover, and go-live support.
- Proficiency with project management tools such as JIRA and with preparing status reports.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- Fluent English communication skills and experience with global, large-scale ERP implementations.
- Business, process, and cross-functional domain knowledge; strong time management and stakeholder leadership skills.
