Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and deploy ML/AI models end-to-end, including data pipelines, training workflows, and performance, accuracy, and efficiency optimization.
- Maintain and evolve production AI systems by monitoring drift, debugging issues, and improving reliability and scalability.
- Design and ship agentic systems and RAG pipelines for enterprise applications.
- Develop APIs and integrate internal and third-party services.
- Contribute to AI architecture decisions, design discussions, code reviews, and long-term technical direction.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, data, and client teams to align AI work with business and product goals.
- Apply cost optimization techniques including token economics, caching, model routing, and quantization.
- Support more junior engineers and raise engineering standards through hands-on technical contributions.
Requirements
- 4+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 2+ years focused on AI/ML systems in production.
- Hands-on experience with generative AI development and designing and shipping agentic systems.
- Strong software engineering background using Python or a similar language.
- Working knowledge of cloud platforms, preferably with in-depth AWS and AWS generative AI knowledge.
- Experience with AI frameworks, orchestration tools, evaluation frameworks, and observability tools for LLM applications.
- Understanding of AI safety, responsible AI, prompt injection defenses, and PII handling.
- Hands-on experience with RAG pipelines, chunking strategies, embedding models, and vector databases.
- API development experience, including designing and integrating internal and third-party services.
- Working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes for containerized deployments.
- Demonstrated daily use of AI-forward coding tools such as Claude Code and Cursor.
- Strong problem-solving skills, sound technical judgment, and ability to navigate ambiguous challenges.
