Base Salary
$180k - $310k/yr
Responsibilities
- Scale backend systems to hundreds of millions of users while maintaining high performance and availability.
- Build and optimize APIs for real-time collaborative editing and AI content generation.
- Design and implement reliable distributed systems at massive scale.
- Ship features across the full stack in collaboration with frontend engineers.
- Architect solutions involving data consistency, caching, and query optimization.
- Work with product and design teams to turn ideas into production-ready features.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience building production backend systems.
- Deep proficiency in TypeScript/Node.js or similar backend languages, with willingness to work in a TypeScript stack.
- Strong fundamentals in distributed systems, databases, and API design.
- Experience scaling systems for millions of users and high-throughput workloads.
- Strong understanding of PostgreSQL, Redis, or similar database technologies.
- Experience with WebSockets, streaming, or scaling inference workloads is preferred.
- Ability to collaborate with frontend, product, and design teams to deliver production-ready features.
