Responsibilities
- Develop, debug, test, and enhance software for autonomous robotic platforms.
- Design and implement subsystems for localization, navigation, path planning, perception, and sensor fusion.
- Improve automation tools, development pipelines, and testing processes.
- Create and maintain remote diagnostics, monitoring tools, and engineering utilities.
- Collaborate with software, systems, electronics, and mechanical engineers to optimize machine performance.
- Integrate and validate autonomous features on prototype and production hardware.
- Participate in field testing, data collection, troubleshooting, and performance analysis.
- Document designs, test results, and technical findings.
Requirements
- Be enrolled in an educational program for the duration of the internship.
- Major in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a similar engineering field.
- Completed junior-level courses are preferred.
- Demonstrate the ability to learn, collaborate, communicate, stay organized, and work independently.
- AVR/ARM microcontroller, ROS1/2, C++, and Python or similar scripting-language skills are bonuses.
- Be legally authorized to work in the United States.
