Responsibilities
- Develop, debug, and enhance embedded firmware for electrification and autonomous projects.
- Help investigate, define, and specify innovative new products.
- Design and implement electronics and firmware solutions with engineering team members.
- Resolve integration challenges involving electronics, software applications, and developers.
- Collaborate with electronic, system, and software design engineers to optimize product performance.
- Validate and test electronics and embedded software.
- Assist with defining interfaces and optimizing hardware/software performance.
- Create hardware and firmware design and validation documentation.
Requirements
- Currently be a junior or senior student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering field.
- Have an interest in embedded systems and familiarity with embedded firmware development for 8/16/32-bit microcontrollers using C/C++.
- Have familiarity with communication protocols including SPI, I2C, RS232, and CAN.
- Have a strong understanding of hardware and software integration.
- Experience with real-time operating systems is a plus.
- Knowledge of desktop application development in C++/C# is preferred.
- Demonstrate communication, problem-solving, teamwork, self-motivation, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
