Responsibilities
- Write and maintain automated test scripts for UI applications, web services, and ETL workflows.
- Identify opportunities for test automation and upgrade regression test suites after releases.
- Troubleshoot incidents, participate in bridge calls, support root-cause analysis, and retest critical defects.
- Monitor, report, prioritize, and resolve defects with internal teams, contractors, and vendors.
- Write manual and automated test scripts in coordination with business systems analysts and development teams.
- Document solutions based on business requirements, objectives, existing technologies, and defect analysis.
- Send test status reports to leadership and support test and defect management processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a similar field, or equivalent work experience.
- 5–8 years of relevant experience, including 5+ years of automation experience with Selenium WebDriver and Rest Assured.
- 5+ years of Java programming experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with TestNG, data-driven and keyword-driven frameworks, and the Page Object Model.
- Strong knowledge of programming fundamentals, algorithms, databases, SQL, and advanced T-SQL concepts.
- Experience with UNIX scripting, Git, testing processes, and quality assurance lifecycles in Waterfall and Agile environments.
- Familiarity with Windows and UNIX environments and strong analytical, problem-solving, debugging, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of Python, VBScript, Shell Script, Playwright, Cypress, TestCafe, Puppeteer, or mainframe technologies is preferred.
