Base Salary

$170k - $210k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Lead the architecture and delivery of production AI systems including document intelligence, intelligent knowledge systems, agentic orchestration, conversational AI, and generative AI applications.
  • Own AI projects from scoping and stakeholder alignment through solution design, implementation, deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive API design, system decomposition, evaluation strategy, infrastructure patterns, and engineering standards for the AI/ML platform.
  • Build evaluation frameworks with benchmark datasets, statistically sound metrics, versioning, and reproducible continuous improvement processes.
  • Partner with Product, Operations, Legal, and Business stakeholders to identify opportunities, translate requirements, and communicate technical tradeoffs.
  • Mentor engineers through code reviews, design reviews, pair problem-solving, and knowledge sharing.
  • Improve team processes, tooling, and infrastructure to reduce technical debt and increase development velocity.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of experience developing and deploying production AI/ML systems, including cloud-native solutions on AWS or similar platforms.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and software engineering practices including source control, CI/CD, testing, documentation, and scalable software development.
  • Hands-on experience with LLM applications, AI agents, retrieval-augmented generation, conversational AI, document intelligence, agentic workflows, MCP, and A2A.
  • Experience designing, deploying, and operating machine learning pipelines covering training, deployment, monitoring, evaluation, and continuous improvement.
  • Strong knowledge of statistics, experimentation, data quality, AI evaluation, benchmarking, performance metrics, error analysis, and system optimization.
  • Experience leading technical architecture decisions, code and design reviews, engineer mentoring, and engineering excellence initiatives.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience across LLM systems, document intelligence, and ML platforms or infrastructure.
  • Financial services or FinTech experience in document-heavy, regulated, or compliance-sensitive environments is preferred.
  • Open-source contributions, technical publications, conference presentations, patents, or other applied-AI thought leadership are preferred.

  • Base salary range of $170,000 to $210,000, plus equity for full-time employees and an annual performance bonus.
