Base Salary

$144k - $194k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Build and operate AWS Frontier AI services for customers in GovCloud and isolated environments.
  • Develop and deploy scalable solutions across thousands of devices and multiple regions.
  • Automate operational tasks, improve processes, and enhance service resiliency and customer experience.
  • Troubleshoot complex distributed systems and lead technical post-mortem discussions to identify root causes.
  • Influence technical strategy and architectural decisions while resolving cross-functional technical issues.
  • Use Java and Python to build tools and solve complex system problems.
  • Support security campaigns, host patching, blocked-software initiatives, and service parity programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • At least 2 years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
  • At least 1 year of experience designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed applications, tools, systems, or services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
  • At least 1 year of object-oriented design experience.
  • Current, active US Government Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility or above, with the ability to maintain TS/SCI clearance and obtain additional agency-specific clearance with polygraph where required.
  • Preferred qualifications include a bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent and at least 3 years covering the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
