Responsibilities
- Code, test, analyze, troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application software issues in development and production environments.
- Build responsive web applications that conform to multiple screen sizes and devices.
- Develop web services and application features using Java, Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Data JPA, and Angular-based front-end technologies.
- Collaborate with product, development, and QA teams to implement requirements and improve product usability.
- Drive monthly production releases during off-hours and maintain reliable, supportable, and testable code.
- Automate processes and support operational excellence across software delivery.
- Use wireframes, storyboards, UI flow charts, coding, and usability testing to plan and improve user interfaces.
- Collaborate with business and IT decision makers on user interface requirements and ideas.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with software development methodologies and best practices.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript front-end development.
- 5+ years of experience with advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks such as AngularJS and Bootstrap.
- 5+ years of experience building web services using Java, Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Data JPA, and microservices architecture.
- Experience with Git, GitHub, Jenkins, SonarQube, Nexus Repository, Maven, AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Fluency in complex SQL and experience with DB2, Oracle, or SQL Server preferred.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum, continuous integration and delivery, test-driven development, behavior-driven development, DevOps, automation, and modern software delivery practices.
- Experience using IntelliJ IDEA, Eclipse, or Visual Studio Code.
- Strong communication, organizational, interpersonal, problem-solving, analytical, and cross-time-zone collaboration skills.
- Experience with Kafka, data messaging, and event-driven systems is a bonus.
- Experience with UI/UX design, human-computer interaction, usability testing, and user interface planning is a bonus.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
