Responsibilities
- Design, develop, modify, troubleshoot, debug, maintain, and improve enterprise applications for mobile, EnRoute, and rolling-office field technology.
- Create and maintain technical design documents and specifications, and translate requirements into performant, standards-compliant code.
- Collaborate on application planning, coding, testing, deployment, and production support activities.
- Develop solutions that leverage COTS capabilities where appropriate rather than relying on customization.
- Provide on-call support, identify and mitigate root causes, resolve issues independently, and assist other support personnel.
- Prioritize work, meet project commitments, support enhancement projects, and adapt to production-support and customer demands.
- Develop unit tests and participate in system testing as required.
- Support and mentor less experienced personnel and communicate technical concepts to audiences with varying technical proficiency.
- Ensure technology strategies align with organizational goals and follow applicable production-support and ITIL processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in MIS, computer science, or a related field.
- Deep knowledge of the software development life cycle and software development principles.
- Hands-on experience developing and maintaining enterprise-level applications with .NET, C#, and SQL.
- Experience with frontend development platforms such as Angular and React.
- Experience with Azure and/or AWS cloud platforms.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with software development projects, enhancement projects, production support, technical design documents, and specifications.
- Ability to develop unit tests, identify root causes, manage conflicting priorities, and work across projects of varying sizes.
- Experience with system development practices, methodologies, tools, Agile delivery, Kanban, and Scrum.
- Experience with ITIL processes and various programming languages.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to provide on-call support and mentor less experienced personnel.
