Responsibilities
- Design and develop custom and COTS-supported applications for mobile, EnRoute, rolling-office, and field vehicle technology portfolios.
- Translate specifications into performant, standards-compliant code and modify existing software to correct errors, support hardware changes, upgrade interfaces, and improve performance.
- Create and modify technical design documents and specifications for complex technology solutions.
- Troubleshoot, debug, maintain, and improve existing enterprise applications.
- Plan and participate in system testing, deployment activities, and production support processes.
- Identify and mitigate root causes, prioritize competing work, and deliver project commitments.
- Provide independent and collaborative on-call support for production issues.
- Collaborate with business partners and technical peers and mentor less experienced personnel.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Deep, comprehensive knowledge of the software development life cycle and development principles.
- Hands-on experience developing and maintaining enterprise applications using .NET, C#, and SQL.
- Experience with frontend development platforms such as Angular and React.
- Experience with Azure and/or AWS cloud platforms.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Deep experience with technical design documents, specifications, software development projects, system development practices, and production support.
- Ability to develop unit tests, identify root causes, manage multiple assignments, and handle conflicting priorities.
- Experience with Agile delivery, Kanban, Scrum, ITIL processes, and various programming languages.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, interpersonal, communication, and technical translation skills.
- Ability to provide on-call support and assist less experienced personnel.
