Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, design, and engineering of enterprise workflow solutions using Pega Platform.
- Design and oversee integrations between Pega applications and distributed, mainframe, cloud, and external systems using APIs, messaging, file transfer, and integration frameworks.
- Provide technical leadership across requirements analysis, architecture reviews, design validation, implementation oversight, and production readiness.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, reliability, capacity, and operational efficiency.
- Establish engineering standards, architecture principles, design governance, and technology best practices.
- Design and oversee security controls, monitoring, compliance, risk mitigation, observability, and operational support frameworks.
- Lead complex technology initiatives, mentor engineering teams, and resolve complex system, integration, and operational challenges.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to evaluate solution alternatives and deliver sustainable technology solutions.
- Support release governance, production implementation, technical documentation, and Technology Delivery Lifecycle activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field with five years of relevant experience, or equivalent education and training.
- In-depth knowledge of information systems and IT best practices.
- Pega Certified Senior System Architect certification is required; Pega Certified Lead System Architect certification is strongly preferred.
- Deep expertise in Pega Platform solution architecture, workflow systems engineering, and enterprise technology design.
- Experience designing enterprise-scale workflow and case management solutions and secure, scalable, highly available systems in regulated financial services environments.
- Advanced knowledge of REST APIs, SOAP services, event-driven architectures, messaging frameworks, and enterprise integration architecture.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, GitLab CI/CD, distributed platforms, cloud-native architectures, OpenShift, Kubernetes, container platforms, and cloud deployment architectures.
- Working knowledge of .NET, Java, and mainframe ecosystems, plus experience with Kafka or similar event-streaming technologies.
- Experience leading cloud transformation initiatives, architecture reviews, technical governance processes, and migrations from on-premises environments to Pega Cloud.
