Responsibilities

  • Apply and build software engineering skills in areas such as cloud platforms, big data platforms, and application development.
  • Work independently or on project teams within Cargill’s global Digital Technology & Data organization.
  • Apply analytical, technical, collaboration, leadership, and innovation skills to real business situations.
  • Use knowledge of structured programming, systems analysis and design, database design, and business concepts.
  • Participate in company, leadership, networking, development, volunteer, and cross-functional intern events.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree with a major or minor in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or another technology-related discipline.
  • Graduating between December 2027 and Summer 2028.
  • Have the right to work in the U.S. without relying solely on a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer.
  • Able to relocate to Atlanta, Georgia, if applicable, and complete a 12-week summer internship from late May through early August.
  • Have at least a 3.0 GPA.
  • Demonstrate initiative, resourcefulness, and the ability to work with limited guidance.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
  • Preferred qualifications include prior software engineering internship experience, commercial product software development experience, and experience with agile development methodologies.
  • Preferred qualifications include prioritization, problem-solving, collaboration, verbal and written communication, information research, analytical, and technical skills.
