Responsibilities
- Apply and build software engineering skills in areas such as cloud platforms, big data platforms, and application development.
- Work independently or as part of project teams on real business situations within Cargill’s global Digital Technology & Data organization.
- Use software engineering, analytical, collaboration, leadership, and innovation skills to support business and technology initiatives.
- Participate in learning, mentoring, networking, leadership exposure, volunteer, and cross-functional intern events.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree with a major or minor in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or another technology-related discipline.
- Graduating between December 2027 and summer 2028.
- Able to complete a 12-week summer internship from late May through early August and relocate to Atlanta, GA if applicable.
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without relying solely on a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer.
- At least a 3.0 GPA.
- Knowledge of basic structured programming, systems analysis and design, database design, and business concepts.
- Demonstrated initiative and resourcefulness while completing work with limited guidance.
- Ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
- Preferred: previous software engineering internship experience and commercial product software development experience.
- Preferred: experience with agile development methodologies and strong prioritization, problem-solving, collaboration, communication, research, analytical, and technical skills.
