Base Salary
$176k - $260k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and troubleshoot software solutions for virtualized cluster lifecycle automation.
- Automate provisioning, configuration, patching, compliance enforcement, remediation, and decommissioning through Platform APIs.
- Build scalable server-side services using Go and Java.
- Automate OpenShift or Kubernetes cluster lifecycle management and Day-2 operations, including upgrades, configuration, and policy alignment.
- Develop and maintain automated workflows and large-scale workflow orchestration in distributed environments.
- Lead production-grade deployments, diagnose issues, and support incident response and operational reliability.
- Drive responsible adoption and validation standards for enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering tools.
- Document design decisions, mentor engineers, and elevate design, coding, testing, and engineering standards.
- Identify recurring issues and automate their remediation to improve operational stability.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
- Strong fundamentals in system design, API design, data modeling, testing strategy, and operational stability.
- Proficiency building scalable server-side services with Go and Java.
- Demonstrated experience leading enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development practices and validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input/output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Solid experience with ESX infrastructure development, including provisioning, automation, orchestration, and virtualized-environment lifecycle management.
- Hands-on experience automating OpenShift or Kubernetes cluster lifecycle and Day-2 operations.
- Experience developing and maintaining automated workflows in complex distributed environments and strong troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with workflow orchestration at scale; Temporal is strongly preferred, with similar orchestration accepted.
- Preferred experience with virtualization automation, including CPU, memory, storage, networking, and VM lifecycle concepts.
- Preferred familiarity with VMware ESXi, OpenShift, and KVM.
- Preferred cloud-native experience with containers, CI/CD, observability, and reliability engineering.
- Demonstrated track record mentoring engineers and raising engineering standards.
