Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain production-quality test infrastructure for Graphcore’s machine learning stack.
- Architect scalable test frameworks and CI/CD pipelines that run across simulators, emulators, and physical AI accelerator hardware.
- Create representative ML workloads, analyze execution results, and improve testing and tooling based on findings.
- Shape software architecture and developer experience with a focus on testability, maintainability, numerical accuracy, and performance.
- Work across software teams through code and design reviews to improve quality, security, and maintainability.
- Identify testing gaps, drive improvements, influence engineering practices, and mentor junior engineers.
- Contribute to upstream open-source projects.
Requirements
- Strong Python skills demonstrated through production-quality software development and maintenance.
- Experience with software design and architecture for large, complex codebases, particularly with testability and long-term maintainability.
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines and automated testing systems in Linux environments.
- Familiarity with C or C++, including the ability to read, debug, and reason about low-level code.
- Ability to mentor junior engineers and influence engineering practices through constructive feedback.
- Self-directed approach to solving complex problems and driving improvements.
- Transferable skills and diverse experiences are valued, including experience gained through returnship routes.
