Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end solution architecture for real-time decisioning across decisioning ecosystems, data access layers, and web, app, colleague, and outbound channels.
  • Architect event-driven data flows across GCP, Kafka, streaming and batch systems, and digital signal sources for sub-second decision context and feedback loops.
  • Define non-functional requirements and service-level objectives for latency, availability, resilience, change failure rate, and cost per decision.
  • Publish and govern reference architectures, architecture decision records, integration patterns, and guardrails covering APIs, events, identity, consent, and measurement.
  • Embed threat modeling, data minimization, consent, auditability, explainability, and fairness into architecture and model-usage decisions.
  • Partner with engineering, data science and ML, platform engineering, InfoSec, product, vendors, and delivery teams to implement pragmatic solutions.
  • Contribute to the PEC architecture roadmap and decisions about vendor capabilities versus in-house development.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in solution architecture or related technical architecture work.
  • Deep experience with real-time decisioning, personalization, or marketing technology at scale in a regulated environment.
  • Experience with event-driven architecture, Kafka, streaming and batch patterns, API design, identity resolution, and experimentation or measurement pipelines.
  • Experience designing distributed systems, including fault tolerance, scaling and partitioning, consistency trade-offs, retries, idempotency, back-pressure, high availability, and multi-zone or multi-region patterns.
  • Knowledge of public cloud providers including GCP, AWS, or Azure, with experience in networking, VPC, IAM, security controls, service connectivity, managed data and streaming services, observability, and FinOps.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code, observability, reliability engineering, performance engineering, cost governance, and software delivery foundations.
  • Knowledge of C4 modeling, ADRs, threat modeling, zero-trust and data-security-by-design practices, and architecture governance communication.
  • Hands-on Pega CDH or equivalent real-time decisioning platform experience is preferred.
  • Experience with GCP services including BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, Apache Beam, Cloud Run, GKE, Cloud Functions, IAM, VPC, Private Service Connect, Cloud Logging, Cloud Monitoring, Secret Manager, and Org Policies is preferred.
  • Experience with Tealium, Celebrus, Adobe, AEP, AJO, AEM, or Phoenix and familiarity with ML/MLOps, model monitoring, explainability, bias and fairness controls, learning systems, and experimentation at scale is preferred.
  • Experience working in large-scale, multi-brand environments involving contact policies, suppression, pressure rules, and governance is preferred.

Benefits

  • Permanent, full-time role based in Hyderabad with hybrid working and collaboration across UK and global technology centers.
  • Pension contribution of up to 15%.
