Responsibilities
- Support software development efforts across software-centric projects with an emphasis on open-source programming languages.
- Participate in interdisciplinary research and technical programs with academic collaboration partners.
- Apply standard techniques and procedures to complete prescribed scientific and engineering tasks.
- Perform application design, software development, and automated testing.
Requirements
- Be currently enrolled full-time in an accredited college or university degree program pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.
- Be available to work full-time for at least 10 weeks outside the university term and return to a full-time degree program after the internship.
- Have hands-on expertise with application design, software development, and automated testing.
- Have experience with one or more common programming languages, including Java, C/C++, or Python.
- Have strong problem-solving, communication, teamwork, organizational, time-management, and project-management skills.
- Be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.
- Provide transcripts.
- Preferred qualifications include a GPA of 3.5 or higher, full-stack web development, model-based software engineering, distributed systems, cloud-native application patterns and tools, microservices architectures, or cloud-platform application migrations.
Benefits
- Competitive hourly compensation of $25.00-$35.00.
