Responsibilities
- Drive the technical vision for backend systems powering the recipient management user experience.
- Build and scale distributed systems for adding, finding, and managing recipients.
- Design, deploy, and maintain RESTful APIs.
- Design database schemas and optimize queries across relational and non-relational databases.
- Write testable code and apply coding best practices, code reviews, and Test Driven Development.
- Collaborate with designers, product managers, analysts, and other engineers to prioritize customer-focused improvements.
Requirements
- Experience working with large-scale distributed systems.
- Years of experience with Java 8 or later.
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases, query optimization, and schema design.
- Experience designing, deploying, and maintaining RESTful APIs.
- Strong product mindset and focus on customer experience and data-driven decision-making.
- Collaborative approach and commitment to coding best practices, code reviews, and testable code.
- Experience with Spring Boot and Backend-for-Frontends is a nice-to-have.
