Responsibilities
- Design and implement core LatticeOS components and middleware for autonomous vehicles and edge devices.
- Develop fault-tolerant distributed systems that operate over denied, degraded, or intermittent communications links.
- Create interfaces, APIs, and tooling for internal teams and third-party partners integrating through the Lattice SDK.
- Collaborate with autonomy and hardware teams to support reliable operation across diverse physical platforms.
- Build high-throughput data processing, transport, and system orchestration solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of professional software development experience focused on systems programming, distributed systems, or robotics.
- Deep experience with C++, Rust, or similar systems programming languages.
- Proficiency in protocol design, serialization, and implementation, including technologies such as gRPC, Protobuf, Zenoh, or DDS.
- Ability to collaborate across multiple cross-functional engineering teams.
- U.S. Person status due to required access to U.S. export-controlled information or facilities.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with operating systems, middleware, SDKs, developer platforms, defense, aerospace, robotics, embedded systems, Linux internals, resource-constrained environments, distributed communication networks, routing, or modern messaging standards.
