Base Salary
$165k - $330k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable telemetry ingestion and storage pipelines for metrics, logs, and traces across multi-cloud infrastructure.
- Own and improve observability platforms through migrations and architectural changes that increase reliability, reduce cost, and support growth.
- Build commercialization and billing systems and deliver strategic partnership integrations.
- Develop internal infrastructure and tooling that improves developer velocity, CI/CD, and deployment safety.
- Own the internal AI agent platform end to end, including architecture, development, rollout, operation, and measurement.
- Define and own engineering testing standards, tiers, and tooling.
- Improve developer experience and platform adoption through good defaults, clear documentation, and self-service workflows.
- Improve reliability through alerting, incident tooling, and production debugging workflows.
- Lead technical design for cross-team projects and make tradeoffs among speed, quality, and maintainability.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, model performance, and product teams, and raise engineering standards through code review, mentorship, and technical writing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of relevant industry experience focused on scalable backend systems and platforms.
- Experience building or operating observability systems involving logging, metrics, and tracing, or operating internal infrastructure at scale.
- Proficiency in Python, Go, Rust, or a similar backend language.
- Strong understanding of quality and engineering principles and distributed-system interactions and data flows.
- A platform mindset focused on adoption, self-service, internal customers, and effective defaults.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
