Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Scale Modular’s data stack for its next phase of growth.
- Design, build, and maintain data ingestion and transformation pipelines.
- Define instrumentation requirements with product and engineering teams for new product surfaces and customer environments.
- Build integrations connecting product, GTM, and Finance data for revenue, pipeline, and unit-economics visibility.
- Contribute to data governance and best practices to create a consistent and trusted data foundation.
Requirements
- 0–2+ years of experience as a software engineer working heavily with data systems.
- Strong programming skills in Python or Java and solid proficiency in SQL.
- Familiarity with software development lifecycles and version control systems such as Git and GitHub.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Familiarity with distributed processing or messaging systems such as Spark, Kafka, or Flink.
- Knowledge of containers and orchestration technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
- Helpful qualifications include ETL/ELT, streaming or batch systems, orchestration frameworks, data lake and warehouse architectures, infrastructure as code with Pulumi, product telemetry, usage-based billing, instrumentation design, and data observability or quality tools.

- The role is based at the Los Altos, California headquarters with a minimum of three days per week onsite.
