Responsibilities
- Lead software requirements engineering, including gathering, analyzing, and documenting software requirements.
- Understand and contribute to the evolution of global static and dynamic software architecture.
- Develop high-level and low-level designs using HOOD, class definitions, and UML diagrams.
- Perform coding, debugging, build generation, and unit verification for embedded software.
- Coordinate with stakeholders and verification teams to resolve complex technical issues.
- Troubleshoot issues from system testing, simulator testing, flight testing, in-service operations, and AoG situations.
- Mentor and develop junior team members and coordinate with internal and external teams.
Requirements
- More than five years of full software lifecycle experience in the avionics domain, including requirements definition, static and dynamic design, coding, and unit verification.
- Hands-on experience with embedded software requirements engineering, architecture, algorithms, interfaces, schedulers, abstraction, and modularization.
- Embedded programming experience in C, C++, or Ada.
- Experience with unit testing, software configuration and change management, RTOS, and DO-178 standards.
- Knowledge of requirements, design, and coding standards and the ability to resolve complex issues with global multisite teams.
- Preferred experience with A653-compliant RTOS, project management, certification audits, software development lifecycle methodologies, A429, CAN, AFDX, avionics systems, and avionics networks.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder relationship-building skills.
