Responsibilities
- Write secure, maintainable, and reusable code for Azure Database for PostgreSQL features and services.
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to clarify requirements, incorporate feedback, and iterate on designs and implementations.
- Participate in code reviews and apply coding standards and modern design principles.
- Improve performance, scalability, reliability, and service quality in a cloud environment through experimentation and data-driven analysis.
- Serve as a Designated Responsible Individual and participate in on-call rotations to monitor system health and initiate recovery actions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Proven coding experience in one or more of C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Go, or Python.
- At least 1 year of technical engineering experience with coding is preferred.
- Familiarity with distributed systems and cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP is preferred.
- Knowledge of update servicing, security fundamentals, or large-scale system design is preferred.
- Exposure to AI-powered development tools or building intelligent features is preferred.
- Ability to pass Microsoft Cloud background checks upon hire or transfer and every two years thereafter.
