Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement complex end-to-end technology solutions aligned with business requirements and strategic objectives.
- Define workload placement strategies using private and public cloud capabilities, serverless architectures, and containerisation.
- Create secure, resilient, standardized, and governable solution designs incorporating risk, control, privacy, security, and records management requirements.
- Support complex systems integration, fault finding, performance analysis, and operational issue resolution.
- Assess solution impacts on risk, capacity, and cost, including project change estimates and ongoing run costs.
- Advise senior stakeholders, influence strategic technology decisions, guide technical direction, and lead collaborative assignments.
- Identify and implement appropriate technologies and platforms while contributing to the evolution of standard solutions.
Requirements
- Excellent experience delivering complex end-to-end solution designs as a Solution Architect.
- Specialist understanding of architectural principles, best practices, and modern design methods.
- Demonstrated ability to simplify complex challenges and produce clear, effective solution designs.
- Hands-on experience with private and public cloud, API development, microservices, and integration patterns and protocols.
- Experience designing solutions for mobile and internet-facing customer servicing platforms is valued, ideally in financial services or banking.
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders and guide strategic thinking through technology innovation.
- Expertise in complex systems integration and understanding of implementation challenges and their architectural implications.
- Knowledge of corporate banking is an additional advantage.
- Ability to demonstrate risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, digital and technology, and role-specific technical skills.
