Responsibilities
- Analyze customer requirements and develop internal software requirements for validation and verification.
- Lead development of manual and automated software verification procedures covering complete requirements.
- Execute validation and verification of large embedded software subsystems.
- Collect, summarize, and present test results to internal and external customers.
- Coordinate requirements-based software testing and support system test activities for software test teams.
- Use Python for scripting and test automation.
- Maintain configuration management and released software test procedures.
- Mentor junior engineers and resolve technical testing issues.
- Participate in software development lifecycle process improvement efforts.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent education and experience.
- At least 5 years of experience developing or testing embedded systems, including formal verification and validation of moderately complex real-time software in high-reliability environments.
- Proficiency in Python and C/C++.
- Experience developing efficient, reusable unit and requirements-based software tests.
- Knowledge of software development processes, methods, and configuration management.
- Ability to coordinate and communicate across multiple engineering disciplines and work in collaborative cross-functional teams.
- Experience with multiple software development and verification environments and toolchains is desirable.
- Master’s degree in engineering is desirable.
- Experience with power electronics control software, user interface testing tools, MATLAB Simulink, Git, Bitbucket, JIRA, Jenkins, automated testing, static analysis, or automated system-level testing is desirable.
- Experience with military products, military specifications, DO-178, DO-254, or equivalent quality systems is desirable.
- Working knowledge of DOORS for requirements management is desirable.
- U.S. citizenship is required, and the position may require an active DoD security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
