Base Salary

$135k - $253k/yr

Responsibilities

Design and develop scalable backend telematics systems that process high-volume, real-time telemetry from millions of connected devices.
Architect data ingestion, transformation, processing, and analytics pipelines using streaming technologies.
Develop cloud-based storage and analytics solutions using distributed databases, data warehouses, and time-series databases.
Implement device-to-device communication systems using peer-to-peer connectivity to reduce latency and improve network efficiency.
Collaborate with data scientists, DevOps engineers, product managers, and frontend developers on telematics solutions.
Integrate advanced analytics and machine learning for predictive maintenance, risk assessment, and behavioral analysis.

4+ years of backend software development experience with strong proficiency in Go, C++, or Python.
Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, including Docker and Kubernetes.
Knowledge of Apache Kafka, Apache Spark, MQTT, NATS, WebRTC, and gRPC for high-throughput data pipelines.
Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, data warehouses, and time-series databases.
Understanding of API design, RESTful services, microservices architecture, and API security best practices.
Knowledge of DevOps practices including CI/CD, infrastructure as code, monitoring, and automated testing frameworks.
Preferred experience with real-time stream analytics, cloud security, IoT data protocols, telematics data sources, third-party aggregators, observability tools, data visualization, business intelligence, event-driven architecture, serverless computing, and automotive or transportation applications.

In-office work is expected 5 days per week, with occasional remote-work flexibility.
