Base Salary
$135k - $253k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable telematics backend systems processing high-volume, real-time telemetry from millions of connected devices.
- Build data ingestion, transformation, processing, and analytics pipelines using streaming technologies.
- Develop cloud-based storage, data warehousing, and time-series analytics solutions for real-time monitoring and historical analysis.
- Implement device-to-device communication systems using peer-to-peer connectivity.
- Collaborate with data scientists, DevOps engineers, product managers, and frontend developers.
- Integrate advanced analytics and machine learning for predictive maintenance, risk assessment, and behavioral analysis.
Requirements
- 4+ years of backend software development experience.
- Strong proficiency in Go, C++, or Python and experience with cloud-native application development.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of Apache Kafka, Apache Spark, MQTT, NATS, WebRTC, gRPC, and high-throughput data pipelines.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, data warehouses, and time-series databases.
- Understanding of API design, RESTful services, microservices architecture, and API security best practices.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices, infrastructure as code, monitoring, and automated testing frameworks.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-paced environments with mission-critical, high-availability systems.
- Preferred experience with real-time stream analytics, cloud security, IoT data protocols, telematics data sources, observability tools, event-driven architecture, serverless computing, data visualization, or automotive and transportation applications.
