Base Salary
$131k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Deliver complete software and infrastructure solutions across design, implementation, testing, delivery, and operations.
- Manage and improve scalable, reliable AWS cloud infrastructure and production and development systems.
- Develop infrastructure and application configuration automation using code and improve self-service development, secret management, CI/CD, and testing systems.
- Troubleshoot incidents, identify root causes, document problems, and implement preventive measures.
- Define project designs, identify stakeholders, manage risks and changes, coordinate colleagues’ work, and remain accountable for delivery quality and timeliness.
- Mentor junior engineers and product owners while leading by example and applying technical best practices.
- Improve the quality, reliability, stability, scalability, and security of infrastructure and operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years of experience in software development or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience operating distributed applications 24x7x365 as part of a Cloud Engineering, DevOps, and/or SRE team.
- Extensive hands-on experience designing, implementing, and supporting infrastructure for global-scale services, preferably with AWS.
- Deep hands-on experience with AWS or similar IaaS and PaaS cloud solutions.
- Hands-on programming and scripting experience with Python, Java, Bash, or Go.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical audiences.
