Responsibilities

  • Execute satellite-level verification and validation campaigns focused on functional software operations and system health.
  • Integrate flight software with satellite avionics, power, RF, and thermal subsystems.
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks for functional and environmental test campaigns.
  • Analyze and resolve software-related integration issues and coordinate anomaly resolution with software engineering.
  • Support production readiness and design reviews, including software testability, hardware-in-the-loop requirements, and system configuration.
  • Create and improve software test procedures, integration plans, and configuration records.
  • Collaborate with Global AIT, Software Engineering, and Mission Operations teams.
  • Drive improvements in integration methods, test efficiency, and build reliability.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in integration, testing, or production of complex systems, preferably in aerospace or high-reliability hardware.
  • Strong Python scripting and automation skills for test development and data analysis.
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary engineering environments with a focus on system-level validation.
  • Deep understanding of satellite architectures, including command and data handling, avionics, or communications subsystems.
  • Familiarity with hardware-in-the-loop testing, EMC, vibration, thermal, and configuration management activities.
  • Systems engineering mindset with the ability to connect software logic, hardware interfaces, and mission operations and anticipate integration risks.
  • Proficient written and spoken English.
  • Experience with Atlassian Cloud tools, including Jira and Confluence, is preferred.
  • Experience with design-for-testability, design-for-manufacturing, Lean, Six Sigma, and advanced Python test-script development is preferred.
