Responsibilities
- Develop the Haystack News application for Android mobile, Android TV, and Fire TV devices.
- Build engaging features that improve the reader experience in the flagship news application.
- Apply current Android development trends to create engaging user experiences.
- Refactor existing code using Clean Architecture, increase code coverage, and build new features conforming to that design.
- Use the Android framework, Kotlin, and Jetpack Compose.
- Collaborate with software developers to integrate existing APIs into the mobile application.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
- At least 3 years of related professional work experience.
- Strong software engineering skills with expertise in Java and the Android platform.
- Strong written and spoken English skills; applications must be submitted in English.
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication skills.
