Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of scalable Android applications using Kotlin and modern Android architecture patterns.
- Define and evolve application architecture, modularization, dependency management, observability, testing, security, and performance practices.
- Build reusable mobile components for Retail Media and advertising experiences, including sponsored products, sponsored brands, native placements, display banners, and personalized recommendations.
- Integrate advertising placements into product discovery, search, category, product detail, and other commerce journeys while balancing monetization and customer experience.
- Collaborate with backend, data, product, ad server, and Retail Media teams on APIs, tracking contracts, campaign metadata, targeting, attribution, and measurement.
- Create configurable solutions supporting new ad formats, placements, campaigns, and monetization use cases.
- Improve CI/CD reliability, build performance, release processes, app stability, and overall technical health.
- Implement and evolve feature flags, experimentation frameworks, and A/B testing for customer and advertising experiences.
- Document architecture decisions, features, and technical processes, and guide critical technical and architectural decisions across teams.
- Reduce technical debt strategically and enable product teams through platform improvements.
Requirements
- Extensive Android development experience with strong Kotlin expertise.
- Deep understanding of the Android SDK and modern Android development practices.
- Hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose, Coroutines and Flow, dependency injection using Hilt or Dagger, and REST APIs using Retrofit or OkHttp.
- Strong knowledge of clean architecture principles, design patterns, modularization, and maintainable, testable code.
- Experience with JUnit, Espresso, and MockK.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern development workflows.
- Proven ability to independently own complex projects and deliver high-quality results.
- Strong focus on performance, scalability, user experience, debugging, and performance optimization.
- Experience in Retail Media, AdTech, MarTech, or large-scale e-commerce platforms.
- Cross-platform experience is an additional advantage.
