Responsibilities
- Design, develop, code, test, and troubleshoot software solutions and multiple application components.
- Write secure, high-quality code using at least one programming language with limited guidance.
- Consider upstream and downstream systems and technical implications when developing solutions.
- Apply Software Development Life Cycle tools, automation, and enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development capabilities.
- Use technical troubleshooting and data analysis to identify problems and support decision-making.
- Develop secure, stable, and scalable systems while applying application resiliency and security practices.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 2+ years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, operational stability, and full Software Development Life Cycle delivery.
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming and database querying languages.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and the ability to evaluate and validate AI-generated outputs.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Preferred: full-stack Java enterprise application development experience and at least two years of Java 17+ experience.
- Preferred: experience developing microservices deployed with AWS Elastic Kubernetes Service or Elastic Container Service, EC2, Terraform, and AWS production environments.
- Preferred: experience with at least one relational database management system, especially Oracle or PostgreSQL.
