Base Salary
$111k - $185k/yr
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day software development and technical support for MES, SCADA, SQL Server, and related manufacturing applications.
- Design and maintain manufacturing software solutions, database structures, data pipelines, and application integrations.
- Create system designs, UML diagrams, interface specifications, architecture documentation, and support procedures.
- Troubleshoot production software issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions to minimize manufacturing downtime.
- Develop SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and data integrations for manufacturing operations and analytics.
- Support software deployments, configuration updates, system integrations, application enhancements, and system monitoring.
- Participate in software validation, verification, and change control processes in regulated manufacturing environments.
- Investigate the use of AI tools to accelerate development activities.
- Collaborate with IT/OT, R&D, Engineering, Quality, and Production teams across Mesa and San Diego.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline and 5-8 years of related experience, or a master’s degree with 2-5 years of equivalent industry experience, or a PhD with 0-2 years of experience.
- 5+ years of experience supporting manufacturing or industrial software systems, such as SCADA, LabVIEW applications, C#, or database-driven applications.
- Proficiency in SQL and database management, with familiarity with relational databases.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for complex technical issues in fast-paced manufacturing environments.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and production environments, including GMP, lean manufacturing, and Six Sigma principles.
- Familiarity with software deployment tools, system monitoring, and version control practices.
- Experience collaborating with IT, R&D, Engineering, Quality, and Production teams.
- Practical knowledge of manufacturing standards including ISA-95 and FDA regulations such as 21 CFR Part 11.
- Preferred experience with software validation and verification of automated systems on the factory floor.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize projects, maintain timelines, document technical issues, and communicate with technical and non-technical users.
