Base Salary
$111k - $185k/yr
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day software development and technical support for MES, SCADA, SQL Server, and related manufacturing applications.
- Design and maintain manufacturing software solutions, database structures, data pipelines, and application integrations.
- Create system designs, architecture artifacts, UML diagrams, interface specifications, and technical documentation.
- Troubleshoot production software issues, resolve system anomalies, and minimize manufacturing downtime.
- Develop SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and data integrations for manufacturing operations and analytics.
- Support software deployments, configuration updates, system integrations, validation, verification, and change control.
- Collaborate with R&D, Engineering, Quality, IT, and Production teams on root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Investigate AI tools that can accelerate software development activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline with 5-8 years of related experience, or a master’s degree with 2-5 years of equivalent industry experience, or a PhD with 0-2 years of experience.
- 5+ years of experience supporting manufacturing or industrial software systems such as SCADA, LabVIEW applications, C#, or database-driven applications.
- Proficiency in SQL and database management, with familiarity with relational databases.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in production environments.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes, GMP, lean manufacturing, and Six Sigma principles.
- Familiarity with software deployment tools, system monitoring, and version control practices.
- Practical experience or familiarity with ISA-95, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, and software validation and verification of automated factory-floor systems.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional IT, R&D, Engineering, Quality, and Production teams.
- Strong technical documentation, communication, organization, prioritization, and multitasking skills.
