Responsibilities
- Develop motion-planning algorithms for safe, smooth, and intuitive autonomous vehicle behavior.
- Design and build robust, scalable software for motion-planning exploration and evaluation.
- Collaborate with decision and behavior planning, prediction, and motion-tracking systems.
- Define and execute multi-quarter technical roadmaps and OKRs spanning multiple subsystems.
- Lead system-level design discussions, reviews, technical processes, and advanced feature implementation.
- Own architecture for core products and drive organization-wide incident response and severity reviews.
- Mentor junior and senior engineers and foster documentation and technical learning.
Requirements
- 5–7+ years of professional software development experience, preferably in C++.
- Bachelor’s degree required in Robotics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Master’s or PhD preferred.
- Experience developing algorithms for motion planning, navigation, robotics, or safety-critical systems.
- Experience leading technical development from problem formulation through algorithm design, implementation, and delivery.
