Responsibilities
- Participate throughout the software development lifecycle and recommend automation-based quality assurance practices.
- Build, maintain, review, and execute automated unit, component, white-box, regression, and end-to-end functional test suites.
- Develop testing frameworks, utilities, scripts, and tools for APIs, RESTful APIs, web services, and other non-user-interface components.
- Configure and integrate test automation frameworks with continuous integration and continuous delivery infrastructure.
- Build test environments, generate test data, create testing reports and metrics, and maintain automation infrastructure.
- Conduct performance, load, security, and service virtualization testing and analyze system responses.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, developers, business teams, and clients to develop test plans, cases, conditions, and execution priorities.
- Report and track defects, participate in root cause analysis, and coordinate testing activities for assigned client projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, information systems, or another technical discipline, with additional experience accepted in lieu of a degree.
- At least 2 years of professional experience in software testing, coding, designing, and developing.
- Preferred master’s degree in software engineering, information systems, or another technical discipline.
- Preferred 4 years of experience developing automated testing strategies across multiple environments and frameworks.
- Working knowledge of software development lifecycle and testing methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, test-driven development, and behavior-driven development.
- Experience or knowledge with programming languages and testing tools including Java, C#, Perl, Python, Groovy, Oracle, SQL, continuous integration, service virtualization, and API testing.
