Base Salary
$370k - $418k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define and evolve architecture for allocating and orchestrating training and inference workloads across thousands of GPUs and multiple data centers.
- Design petabyte-scale data federation systems providing reliable, high-throughput access to sensor and simulation data across geographies.
- Build foundations for large-scale AI workloads to run across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
- Advise leadership on cloud infrastructure investments and architecture aligned with company strategy, growth, and performance goals.
- Provide technical leadership through architectural coaching, technical deep dives, mentorship, and promotion of operational and engineering excellence.
Requirements
- 10+ years designing and building large-scale distributed systems, including at least 4 years focused on GPU-based cloud infrastructure.
- Experience enabling large-scale AI training, inference, or computer vision workloads in GPU clusters.
- Deep understanding of petabyte-scale data architecture, storage federation, high-throughput access, and data locality for AI workloads.
- Strong technical leadership and experience defining and communicating architectural strategy across long-term and delivery priorities.
- A track record of mentoring engineers and influencing technical direction across teams.
- An advanced degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
- Preferred experience with multi-cloud orchestration for latency- or cost-sensitive training and inference pipelines.
- Familiarity with Ray, Kubernetes, Airflow, or Flyte, and strong knowledge of AI/ML job scheduling, model lifecycle management, and infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Preferred background supporting safety-critical or real-time inference use cases such as robotics, autonomous vehicles, or aerospace.
- Interest in building infrastructure-as-a-product for research and product teams.
