Responsibilities
- Design, build, and own backend systems for transforming raw enterprise data.
- Develop and maintain scalable data processing pipelines and semantic storage layers.
- Own features end-to-end, from data modeling to API design.
- Build and operate high-performance APIs and real-time services.
- Architect and optimize distributed systems using cloud infrastructure.
- Work with relational and graph databases and data platforms.
- Make and defend architectural decisions balancing scalability and execution speed.
- Deploy and manage services in containerized environments across cloud platforms.
- Integrate modern AI tools into development workflows.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful features.
- Contribute to engineering best practices and platform architecture.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Backend Engineer or similar role in a SaaS environment.
- Strong experience in building data-intensive or distributed systems.
- Proficiency in backend development, preferably in Python.
- Solid understanding of APIs, real-time communication patterns, and cloud architectures.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms and containerized environments.
- Experience with databases and data systems, familiarity with graph databases is a plus.
- Ability to make pragmatic technology choices based on context.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to simplify complex systems.
- Clear communication skills for explaining technical decisions.
