Responsibilities
- Evaluate, implement, test, and administer software security vulnerability and penetration testing tools.
- Interpret security testing results and collaborate with project teams and governance stakeholders to remediate vulnerabilities.
- Provide secure coding education through lunch-and-learns, formal classes, secure coding courses, and team collaboration sessions.
- Monitor current security trends, vulnerabilities, industry breaches, secure coding techniques, and tools for mitigating vulnerabilities.
- Perform secure code reviews and help developers identify and remediate vulnerabilities, including making code changes when necessary.
- Conduct security-focused architecture and design reviews for new systems and architecturally significant changes.
- Create architecture diagrams and document secure design patterns for new software solutions.
- Participate in discussions about secure infrastructures and data designs.
- Perform software security due diligence on vendor-supported software.
- Participate in incident response activities and collaborate on audits and software security audit questions.
Requirements
- Deep expertise in secure coding practices.
- Experience evaluating, implementing, testing, and administering vulnerability and penetration testing tools.
- Ability to interpret security test results and collaborate on vulnerability remediation.
- Ability to perform secure code reviews and software architecture and design reviews.
- Ability to educate and train software developers on secure coding and vulnerability identification.
- Knowledge of software security architecture, secure infrastructure, data design, incident response, governance, risk, compliance, and audit practices.
