Base Salary
$141k - $231k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, implementation, deployment, support, and maintenance.
- Design and build multi-component distributed systems that operate at scale.
- Document design decisions and operational knowledge for software deployment and management.
- Provide unit, integration, and performance test and production-readiness coverage.
- Investigate issues methodically, identify root causes, and evaluate performance and reliability tradeoffs.
- Participate in on-call rotation, design reviews, stakeholder collaboration, and technical knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Experience developing horizontally scalable, resilient, high-performance distributed systems in production.
- Experience designing, implementing, deploying, and supporting large-scale geographically distributed observability systems or high-throughput data streaming and processing pipelines.
- Expertise in one or more high-level programming languages, preferably Go.
- Expert-level Kubernetes skills and query-development skills, preferably SQL.
- Hands-on experience with one or more cloud providers, preferably AWS or GCP.
- Thorough understanding of computer architecture, operating systems, and networking.
- Familiarity with monitoring, instrumentation, and infrastructure-configuration best practices.
- Strong collaboration, communication, self-direction, user focus, and pragmatic technical judgment.
