Responsibilities
- Build end-to-end software features across front-end and back-end systems with team guidance.
- Contribute to system design, architectural trade-off discussions, data models, API contracts, and persistence approaches.
- Write, review, and maintain secure, performant, well-tested code, including evaluating AI-generated code.
- Develop, maintain, and execute automated test suites to validate functionality and identify defects.
- Use and help maintain CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code while learning production monitoring and incident response.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, platform teams, and peer engineers to scope, document, and deliver features.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, with graduation no earlier than May 2028.
- Available to work full-time for a 12-week period during either May–August or June–September 2027.
- Experience thinking about or using AI in work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving.
- Exposure through coursework, personal projects, internships, or hackathons to front-end frameworks, back-end languages, databases, REST or GraphQL APIs, cloud platforms, and emerging AI/ML tools.
- Preferred exposure to software architecture, API design, databases, or distributed systems.
- Preferred familiarity with clean, secure, well-tested code and code review practices.
- Preferred exposure to AI coding assistants and LLM APIs, including sound judgment when reviewing AI-generated code.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
