Responsibilities
- Design and code complex enterprise, commercial-grade applications in core, server-side Java.
- Build distributed systems using actor-based concurrency, reactive programming, distributed in-memory data grids, and advanced messaging.
- Work on server-side JVM-based projects using the Java or Scala ecosystem.
- Build RESTful web services and apply unit and end-to-end testing.
- Collaborate with clients and self-organizing project teams in iterative, project-based engagements.
- Adapt to new technologies across the development stack and contribute to research or emerging technology initiatives.
- Deliver quality software and solve real-world business problems for financial technology clients.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of recent hands-on experience designing and coding complex enterprise applications in core, server-side Java, ideally Java 8 or later.
- Experience building RESTful web services.
- Experience with test-driven development, including unit and end-to-end testing.
- Experience working in Agile software development and CI/CD environments.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Math, or a related field, or related work experience.
- Experience with and strong demonstrated interest in global financial markets and financial products.
- Deep understanding of multithreading, real-time software architectures, and commercial-grade software applications.
