Responsibilities
- Lead the technical and architectural direction of Data & Analytics initiatives.
- Define data strategies and design scalable Lakehouse and Medallion architectures.
- Guide Data Engineers and multidisciplinary teams in implementing Databricks-based data platforms.
- Design and implement Lakeflow Pipelines and Lakeflow Declarative Pipelines.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, architects, data engineers, and clients as the primary technical reference.
- Design, develop, test, and integrate custom software solutions across multiple system components.
- Translate system requirements into detailed design specifications and support production application releases.
Requirements
- More than 7 years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, or similar positions.
- More than 4 years of demonstrated experience working with Databricks.
- Experience designing and implementing Lakehouse or Medallion architectures using Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers.
- Practical experience with Databricks Lakeflow Pipelines and Lakeflow Declarative Pipelines.
- Advanced proficiency in Databricks, PySpark, SQL, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Databricks Jobs or Workflows, data quality, CDC, and incremental processing.
- Advanced proficiency in Angular and intermediate proficiency in Node.js.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Preferred qualifications include Databricks Data Engineer Associate or Machine Learning Professional certifications, AWS/Azure/GCP or Salesforce certifications, enterprise platform integration experience, and cloud cost and performance optimization knowledge.
- Bonus skills include Ionic Framework, MySQL, Python, TypeScript, and software testing methodologies.
