Base Salary
$180k - $440k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, reliable, low-latency systems for Grok’s AI-driven media experiences.
- Architect real-time multimodal infrastructure for generation requests, media processing, and integration with frontend and model-serving layers.
- Build and optimize large-scale pipelines for ingesting, processing, and analyzing image, video, and audio data.
- Collaborate with frontend engineers, AI researchers, and product teams on end-to-end media-rich experiences.
- Own the full development lifecycle from system design and prototyping through deployment, monitoring, observability, and refinement.
- Deliver maintainable production code supporting features used by hundreds of millions of users.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Python or Rust and a track record of writing clean, efficient, maintainable, scalable code.
- Experience designing and building consumer-facing systems focused on performance, reliability, and high-throughput workloads.
- Hands-on expertise with large-scale data infrastructure and pipelines, particularly for multimodal or media-heavy AI applications.
- Ability to deliver robust, production-grade solutions serving millions of users while maintaining quality and uptime.
- Strong problem-solving skills and enthusiasm for AI, media technologies, and user-focused products.
- Preferred experience with real-time systems, inference serving, or multimodal data processing at scale.
- Preferred familiarity with distributed systems, Kubernetes, observability tools, or performance tuning for AI workloads.
- Preferred background in AI-driven consumer products or media generation technologies.
- Preferred experience collaborating across engineering, research, and product teams to ship features quickly.
